Marine Blasting and Surface Prep in Tampa

Mobile blasting for fiberglass and metal boats, trailers, and hardware. We strip old bottom paint, antifouling, and rust with media gentle enough to leave the gelcoat intact, and we come to you, dockside, in the marina, or in the yard, anywhere in Central Florida.

A Clean Hull Starts With the Right Prep

On a boat, the new bottom paint is only as good as what's underneath it. Old antifouling, blisters, and built-up coatings have to come off cleanly, or the fresh job won't bond and won't last a season in the water. The trick is stripping all of that away without burning into the gelcoat, and that comes down to using the right media at the right pressure.

We bring that work to you. Our setup is fully mobile and self-contained, so we can prep a hull or a trailer right where the boat already sits. Florida's salt water and sun are brutal on a hull, which makes honest prep matter even more here, get it clean the first time and the coating that goes on after holds up.

What We Handle on the Water

From the hull down to the smallest piece of deck hardware, we strip the surfaces a boat depends on.

Fiberglass & Gelcoat Hulls

Old coatings and oxidation stripped back with soft media that cleans the surface without cutting into the gelcoat underneath.

Bottom Paint & Antifouling

Years of built-up antifouling taken off down to a sound surface, so the new bottom job goes on clean and bonds the way it should.

Boat Trailers

Rust and failing paint blasted off your trailer before the salt finishes it off, ready to prime and recoat.

Marine Hardware

Props, cleats, rails, davits, and fittings stripped clean of corrosion and old coatings, ready for the next step.

Docks & Davits

Dock structures, lifts, and davits cleaned up on-site, with the mess contained right at the water's edge.

Jet Skis & Personal Watercraft

Jet skis, kayaks, and small craft stripped down and prepped, matched to whatever the hull is made of.

Built for Boaters and Marinas

We work with boat owners, marinas, dealers, and dock owners across Tampa Bay. If you've got a hull, a trailer, or a piece of hardware that needs to be stripped clean before the next step, we can prep it.

The Right Media for the Job

A boat hull is not a steel beam, and you can't blast it like one. For fiberglass and gelcoat we run soda and walnut shell, soft media that lifts old bottom paint and antifouling without scoring the surface underneath. For trailers, hardware, and other metal we step up to a more aggressive abrasive that takes off rust and old coatings. We match the blast to the material so it comes out clean and undamaged.

We Contain the Mess Anywhere

Dockside, in the marina, or in a storage yard, we have the means to contain the dust and spent media wherever the boat sits, so we can work without leaving a mess behind on someone else's property.

Before You Book

A few things customers ask most. Anything else, just call or text and we'll talk it through.

Will blasting damage my gelcoat?

Not the way we do it. For fiberglass and gelcoat we run soft media like soda and walnut shell, which lifts old bottom paint and antifouling without scoring the surface underneath. The gelcoat comes out clean and intact, ready for whatever goes on next.

Can you strip years of built-up bottom paint?

That's a big part of what we do. Layer after layer of antifouling comes off down to a sound surface, so your new bottom job goes on clean and bonds the way it should instead of over old, failing paint.

Do you come to the boat, or does it have to be hauled somewhere?

We come to the boat. Dockside, in the marina, or in a storage yard, the rig is fully mobile and self-contained, so your hull gets prepped right where it sits without an extra haul-out on the bill.

What about the mess? I don't want media all over the marina.

Neither do we. We contain the dust and spent media right where the boat sits, down to the water's edge, so we can work on someone else's property without leaving anything behind for you or the marina to clean up.

Is there a size limit on what you'll take on?

None to speak of. We handle everything from a jet ski up to a big hull, along with trailers, davits, and dock hardware. If it needs stripping before the next step, size isn't what stops us.

Do you paint the hull once it's stripped?

We strip and prep it, then hand it off clean for your painter to coat. Bottom jobs and topside finishes are their own specialty, so we get the surface right and let your painter do what they do best.
